The final segment of the discussion series on “Getting to Heaven by Going Through Hell” is now up on Youtube – Part 3 – “Finding Heaven”. Thank you to John Ivan from Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lake Geneva for recording and editing.
Yesterday was the nine year anniversary of the car crash that nearly killed our entire family. A 8 time drunk driver came across the median on the interstate and hit us head-on at 70 mph. Our world changed that day in so many ways and none of us were ever going to be the same. At one point I was given a 1 in 100 chance of survival after 8 hours of surgery just to get me to those odds. I never imagined that I would be now calling that day one of the BEST days of our lives.
We were saved physically and spiritually that day by a multitude of angels who were placed in our lives. Dr. Jerry Lang, my primary surgeon at the hospital and his gifted team, the EMT’s who got us out of the mangled car and stabilized us until we got to the hospital, as well as all the friends and family that helped pull us through were all angels to us.
My book “Getting to Heaven By Going Through Hell” tells how this terrible day didn’t destroy our family but saved it in a very real way. We could have never foreseen how it would but this was God’s plan, not ours. We did not know it but we HAD to get into that crash for our family to survive.
Like I always say, “If you want to hear God laugh, just tell Him your plan.”
The newest revision of “Getting to Heaven By Going Through Hell” is now available on Createspace, Amazon and, of course, Kindle. I appreciate all who have purchased a copy. We have raised over $1000 for various charities and spread the message of hope and faith in the midst of tragedy. Thank you to all for the support.
“Getting To Heaven By Going Through Hell” will be unavailable for a few days as a new revision is being published. I cleaned up a few lingering grammatical errors in the previous copy. This should only take a few days before it is available again.
Thanks to all for your patience.
Presented the third installment of the series from the book “Getting to Heaven By Going Though Hell.” This was the last of the three talks and focused on “Finding Heaven.” Our family’s trip through the Hell of a nearly fatal car crash allowed us to see the Angels all around us and finally see that Heaven is right here on Earth, not something you can only find after death. God is here, angels are here, heaven is here also. We just have to open our eyes to it.
Video of the talk will soon be on Youtube.
Part 2 of Bible Series of “Getting to Heaven by Going Through Hell” titled “Angels Among Us” is up on Youtube. This recounts all the angels, both spiritual and physical, that helped us when we needed it most.
Lake Geneva Regional News as a testament to the angels we have all around us. This organization helps those in poverty with more than just a handout. The charity’s founder, Sal Dimiceli, personally meets with those requesting assistance and determines how to best raise them out of the situation they are in. This may include getting a vehicle that will get them to work, getting nursing help to the ill, working on a budget that will allow them to sustain. These people are truly some of the angels that exist in the world around us. They are living proof that we can see and be angels and that there is heaven here on earth.
This is a very worthy charity with ALL donations going to help people lift themselves out of poverty.
